  • Year 2 and 3 Recognition Assembly

    Those of us in the lower phase were treated to maths, poetry and coding on Scratch by the wonderful children who confidently shared their learning this morning.  One of the children taught us what an algorithm is, whilst others performed poetry they had written containing lots of personification.  We were wowed by the progress that can be made when we persevere and keep trying, even when the learning feels very challenging.  Please enjoy looking through the slides.

    On Monday, our history leaders, Ms Davis (Y6) & Ms Stapleton (Y2), introduced Black History Month, with an assembly to launch this year's theme 'Reclaiming  Narratives'. Reclaiming Narratives is more than just a theme—it’s an invitation. An invitation to every member of the Black community to take part in shaping how our stories are told. It’s about ensuring that our voices are heard, our experiences acknowledged, and our contributions celebrated. This theme encourages us to shine a spotlight on the untold stories, the unsung heroes, and the everyday individuals who have made an indelible impact on our communities.
