Day 2 at PGL

The combination of mud and sunshine seems to be one that the children cannot resist...

Well, day 2 has been spent in glorious sunshine taking part in some fantastic activities that have challenged the children, got them working together, seen them flying through the air, and well, getting a bit muddy. Who knew that building a buggy out of barrels and timber could be such an opportunity to get so fabulously muddy? With apologies to the laundry we have caused, the children had some serious fun wallowing in the Sussex mud.

Not only that, but they all climbed up what can only be described as a very high and wobbly pylon before trying out some trust exercises at 38 feet above the ground. It has been fantastic to watch and see the satisfaction and enjoyment on the faces of the children - what this week is all about really.

This evening we'll be working in teams trying to build a contraption that can stop a water balloon from bursting, before (hopefully) collapsing into bed and gettting some good quality sleep...
