It's the first week of the summer term and our children are already working their socks off! In assembly this week, we had the pleasure of seeing some English and maths from the children in years 2 and 3. It is so wonderful to listen to them speak so confidently about what they have learnt and what they would like to achieve next. Year 3 have also been focusing on one of Edmund Waller's core values - ambition - and it is fantastic to see the children being so ambitious for themselves when setting targets for what they want to achieve next on their learning journeys.
Enjoy some work from the past week in our last recognition assembly before the Easter break.

On Friday, 1st March, Edmund Waller children joined a protest aimed at getting Lewisham council to take responsibility for the condition and upkeep of local social housing.
We joined 5 other primary schools to march to the town hall to deliver an open letter (see below) demanding action to improve conditions for our families.
