Ms Lepere and the Climate Champions have proven that local action can have direct impact. Read the attached created by the Climate Champions raising the issue of the dangerous crossing at Lausanne Road.

Thank you very much for forwarding this to me. Please could you pass on my thanks to the school and the children?

It is really important that the views of local kids are at the centre of this process and so I will be forwarding this letter both Southwark and Lewisham Council’s and our London Assembly members.  Keeping our roads safe for kids is incredibly important.

Could you let the children know that myself, Reggie Popoola, Sandra Rhule and the councillors representing the other side of the road in Lewisham will not let up until this crossing is implemented.

I hope that, one day, some of the children who wrote this letter will be councillors and MPs and Assembly members themselves.  They have made a very good start in politics with this letter!
