HSJ - Days 1, 2 + 3!

Residential school journeys are not for every child. Although we work with all families to ensure that finances are not a barrier to their child attending a residential visit, we are also always respectful of the wishes of all families and children regarding these trips.

To make sure that the children who remain in school feel that they have had a wider set of experiences, we always put on a Home School Journey (HSJ) for any children who remain at school. We try hard to come up with activities and learning opportunities that are a bit more varied and, due to the smaller group size, we can throw some alternative activities into the mix.

So far the children have had a great time. They had the honour of being the first people to ever use our recently completed Community Kitchen where, supported by Ms Mehmet and Paris Cozier, they created some mouth-watering pizzas.

The Y6 children then joined Year 1 and Year 4 to plant bulbs.

Today, the HSJ crew went out to Telegraph Hill Park and then came back to school to make SLIME! Which looks truly disgusting and which they absolutely loved!

We will keep you posted here about what they get up to over the next couple of days.
