Year 6 at PGL - day 3

Battling the elements and coming out on top!
Wednesday was not for the faint-hearted. After 2 full-on days, we've had another one, except this time with added rain and sleet. Still, we don't stop for rain, we just put on our waterproofs and carry on regardless - even if we are grateful to return back to base between activities to get warm(er) and dry(er). I'm currently watching the children compete to make the longest line of items in the sports hall as part of this evening's activities, and judging by the enthusiasm with which they are throwing themselves on the floor, I think we're going to be just fine.
The rain lasted all morning, and there were some very cold hands after Jacob's ladder, archery and zip wire, but thankfully it stopped at lunch, and the afternoon activities were much more enjoyable. The children were very supportive of each other, and it was great to see those children who were scared of heights climb higher than they had in other activities earlier on in the week.
In other news, I've worked out how to embed an album into a blog post, so you can see pretty much all the photos we've taken today. Tomorrow is our last full day, ending with an amazing silent disco to wrap things up. There will be some very tired children (and adults) on Friday!
