Writing was the theme of this week's recognition assembly, with some brilliant examples of precise vocabulary selected for purpose across Years 4 to 6. We also had some observational drawing and maths on show too... take a look!
This week we have been wowed by the children's use of powerful adjectives, precise historical vocabulary and careful shading in close observational drawing. Well done, Upper Phase!
This week, we were treated to some excellent explanations - the children were able to use key vocabulary to explain exactly what they had been learning, from mathematical strategies to sketching techniques and historical processes. Well done years 2 and 3!

Our final Lower Phase Recognition assembly was full of fantastic achievements, showing that despite the end of term fast approaching, the children have not taken their eye off the ball at all and are continuing to work hard and produce learning they can be very proud of. We hope to see lots of you at the 'Take One Picture' exhibition after school today, where lots more wonderful work will be on show for you to enjoy.

We saw range of pieces from English, maths and science today, but most impressive of all was the attitude displayed by the children. We talked about the different skills and attributes we need to be top-class learners and today, we saw examples of what happens when children are resilient, determined and positive. Well done everyone!
Sorry it's been so long since the last recognition assembly, with sports days, residentials and school trips going, its non-stop in the summer term. The work is still going on though, so take a look at this bumper edition
