It's the first week of a new half-term and the children in years 2 and 3 have already been working hard and creating some fabulous pieces of work. They've got stuck in to their learning and are very proud of their achievements! Take a look to see some of what they have been learning about this week.
See below for the SuperZone Walking Map created with the input of our Climate Champions.
This year’s theme for BHM was ‘reclaiming narratives’. Each year group has been learning about an inspirational individual who has contributed to our culture or impacted our daily lives. Click on the link below to see the slides from Monday's assembly.
The final day of this half-term began with a range of fabulous achievements from some of the children in the lower phase. We were treated to science, writing and history that the children proudly shared. Enjoy looking and have a great break!
Have a look at the latest pieces of work from years 4,5 & 6. Have a great half term!
Have a look at the learning we've been celebrating this week, from observational drawing via persuasive battle speeches to long multiplication! Well done Years 4, 5 and 6!
Those of us in the lower phase were treated to maths, poetry and coding on Scratch by the wonderful children who confidently shared their learning this morning. One of the children taught us what an algorithm is, whilst others performed poetry they had written containing lots of personification. We were wowed by the progress that can be made when we persevere and keep trying, even when the learning feels very challenging. Please enjoy looking through the slides.
On Monday, our history leaders, Ms Davis (Y6) & Ms Stapleton (Y2), introduced Black History Month, with an assembly to launch this year's theme 'Reclaiming Narratives'. Reclaiming Narratives is more than just a theme—it’s an invitation. An invitation to every member of the Black community to take part in shaping how our stories are told. It’s about ensuring that our voices are heard, our experiences acknowledged, and our contributions celebrated. This theme encourages us to shine a spotlight on the untold stories, the unsung heroes, and the everyday individuals who have made an indelible impact on our communities.
Take a look at some fantastic work from years 4,5 & 6 this week!
Take a look at some of the things years 2 and 3 have been learning this week. Well done to these four children whose effort and progress have been noticed by their class teachers. Great work!
This week, we had the pleasure of sharing some fabulous poetry and creative writing, along with some art and maths too. We also had a surprise last minute entry from two children in year 3. They had been inspired by their art lessons about Megan Coyle and had created some collages at home in their own time. You can see these on the last two slides of the PDF below. Enjoy!
