Year 6 - Remote Learning- 08.02.21

Hello Year 6 Remote Learners!

More changes this week as we become more adept in using Teams to support our remote learning. This week you will be making your Stone Ages houses and then showing them off by uploading photos using the Assignments feature of Teams. We will also move to 2 live teaching lessons a-day, Monday – Thursday, with no live lessons or assembly on Friday. This will allow us the opportunity to talk to your mums, dads or carers during the day; they should book a slot for a Parent-Teacher Conference by following the instructions sent out last Friday.

Meanwhile, here’s a summary of the timetable for live lessons and work to be uploaded this week. The full suggested timetable is posted in Teams. Happy Learning!

So, work hard today and rest hard next week!

Year 6 - Remote Learning - 25.02.21

Hello, Year 6!

Welcome back to remote learning for the 2nd half of the Spring Term (week 7). We hope you had a great half-term, with lots of fun and rest. This week we will be starting a new unit in English, in which we will be focussing on grammar over the next few weeks. In Maths, we kick off with a week on converting measures. The timetable for this week has a slightly new look: no more Zoom on Wednesday afternoons, but one of our morning Teams lessons on Wednesday is designated “maths clinic” where you can come for support if you need help with any aspect of the maths learning from this term. In Topic lessons, in addition to learning more about Charles Darwin and his theories, we have time-tabled a PE lesson with links to recommended websites.

The updated suggested timetable is available in the usual places. Remember to check out your feedback to any assignments and try to make the time to edit and improve your work where you can. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing you online!
