Year 3 arrived at school to find stern faced teachers and a very different timetable on offer for the day as they went back in time for a day at a Ragged School.
As we are currently unable to visit places like East London’s Ragged School Museum – we decided to bring the museum to Waller Road.
The children had a taste of what life would have been like if they had attended Edmund Waller Primary School when it first opened in 1887.

I love those stern faces!
Alexandra had the best day and would like school to always be like this ……….
Amazing! Wonderful to see these photos – we heard a lot about it at home, so lovely to see a glimpse of what the day was like.
