Having had a discussion all about water yesterday, we kicked off our watery topic learning by exploring of concept of floating and sinking. We made predictions, observations and recorded our findings. We couldn’t believe what happened when we put in the pumice stone. I wonder if your child can explain what they saw.
Today we took the children to the pond to see our tadpoles and froglets off. We counted them as they came out of the little tank to begin their new life in the big pond. Because we had two tanks of tadpoles and froglets we were able to do this in the morning and the afternoon. We’ll really miss seeing them grow and change but we think they’ll be really happy in the Edmund Waller pond.
