The secondary school application process is open with a deadline for applications at the end of the month.
Lewisham have made a short film about what it is like to start Secondary School here in the borough.
As with so many things the process of looking at schools and applying has been effected by the current restrictions around Coronavirus. To help our Year 6 families we have added a new Tab on the website where we have pooled the resources and information needed to make an application this year:
If you, or any one you know within the school community, need any help with this process then please contact the school.
We were making reminders so that we show racism the red card tomorrow by wearing something red to nursery
SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD
As a school serving a rich and diverse community, we have always prided ourselves on the equality of the experiences offered to all of our learners and their families, irrespective of background. However, as recent events across the globe have shown, the world is not always as fair and respectful as it needs to be towards all of it citizens.
Therefore, we are asking all of our children (and adults) to show their solidarity and support for the ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ initiative. To do this, children simply have to wear an item of red clothing to school, this Friday, 16th October. No money needed, simply a collective act to raise the awareness across the school of the need for equality and respect for all.
We look forward to seeing a sea of red at the gates on Friday morning.
There’s so much that happens every day at nursery, especially outside in the garden. Children’s involvement in their play is an indicator that they are using the whole learning environment well and that our planning is responsive to this children’s interests. It also helps us see that children are developing good learning dispositions such as autonomy and high self esteem.
This panorama demonstrates the children’s high level of involvement in their play.
The afternoon children and some of the full timers joined in the afternoon baking activity. And here is their ginger man ready to go in the oven. At group time we ate the gingerbread man and the children gave it a resounding thumbs up.
Today we are making a gingerbread man. Lots of children volunteered to help. We explored all the ingredients before mixing them together and then we assembled the gingerbread man. When he’s ready we will all share the gingerbread man, a bit each.
Inspiring drawings in nursery this afternoon
We’ve got more snails at nursery today. There are lots of different varieties and sizes. The snails are happy too as they have lots of food to much on
