Time for a midnight snack
Our memorable event
The parents are here and we are listening to our bedtime stories
We are Getting ready for our bedtime stories memorable event
There’s going to be stories, lullabies and a midnight feast!
To infinity and beyond
The addition of a light box in our “rocket” has led to lots of creative ideas and exploration of light darkness and pattern
Using real objects
Giving children real tools and equipment to use encourages them to really focus their attention, to take care and to learn how to handle equipment safely.
54321 blast off
The children have really loved the space small world play in nursery today. They were especially excited when we created a rocket and they look off shortly before tidy up time. Luckily they’d read “Whatever Next” so they remembered that to a pack a picnic to eat on the moon.
Salt dough aliens
Following on from reading Aliens Love Underpants we made the salt dough aliens. We mixed the dough together and chose the colours. Then we used eyes and feathers to create these unique aliens. Some children even named their alien.
Block play in the garden
The children have discovered that they can use blocks to build just about anything. Today it’s a car for a trip to the park. I wonder what it will be tomorrow?
Notepads…
The children love the freedom of using a notepad. They can take it to different places and make a note that they can look at later on. There’s something private and secretive about using a notepad that seems to give children more confidence to make marks. If you have any notepads at home that you no longer require please send them our way. Thank you!
