Year 6 at PGL - Day 2

Otherwise known as "Giant Swing Face" day
There's nothing like the faces on children as they are released on the giant swing, experiencing G-force for possibly the first time. While we didn't capture every reaction, we hope you get a feel of the joy/shock/elation/fear that they went through as they catapulted through the frosty Sussex air.

However, the giant swing was only one of the four activities we did today. Us teachers have been endlessly impressed by this year group, and not only because they went to sleep at a decent hour last night. During sensory trail (a blindfolded walk through the woods) and problem-solving, they worked together, communicated, and had a go at everything that was thrown at them, laughing all the while. They also showed good skills in the archery range (although it was little bit nippy first thing this morning).

We rounded off the day with two different types of shooting: rifle shooting at the range, and archery tag in the sports hall. Archery tag is a firm favourite (think paintball with a bow and arrow) and it didn't disappoint. There were some excellent shots among the children, and some big celebrations when anyone took out a teacher - one of the few times we are totally fair game! We're off to play hide and seek in the dark. The temperature is cold, but we're comfortably above zero, and we are very layered up!
